Elijah Beaver.
Elijah Beaver, born in Kamloops, BC, grew up in the Thompson-Okanagan region, attending elementary school in Westwold, BC and graduating high-school back in Kamloops. He is a multifaceted individual who has made remarkable contributions across various domains. Elijah embarked on a journey of professional and personal growth since graduating high-school, now proudly equipped with a Bachelor’s of Business Degree.
Throughout his university years, Elijah embraced his passion for travel and people, spending 2 months in South America, most of which was spent in Peru volunteering with other like-minded individuals to assist in orphanages and building schools. Looking to grow professionally, he successfully completed three co-op work terms. Beginning with Human Resources at TRU, to Event Management for the non-profit Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, and lastly to his favourite city of Vancouver (where he now resides) to work with YVR in Community Relations.
Currently, Elijah holds the position of GBQ+ Men’s Health Coordinator at Essie’s Place, where he continues to channel his passion for people and acceptance into meaningful work. Through his role, he advocates for the health, inclusivity, and well-being of the GBQ+ and gender diverse men community in the Shuswap Region. A region that has always held a special place in his heart and will always consider home.
